Hello From LAIN
(Or an excuse to share some family photos)
We want to introduce you to our family of four: Mom, Dad, Clinton, and Carter.
Thanks for listening to our music and following our journey! We have some exciting songs ready to share in the near future, but while you wait, we wanted to introduce ourselves and share some moments from our lives.
As we keep working on new songs and videos to share soon, we wanted to start with an introduction to who we are. Our family lives in Southern West Virginia in our little apartment, where we’re writing music, making coffee (a lot of it), and trying to keep the toddler's toy mess to a minimum.
Our home in West Virginia is just a few miles from the New River Gorge Bridge, which has become a favorite sunset trip for the family, and too many trails, parks, and waterfalls to count! We love exploring our neighborhood as a family.

We’ll have been married for seven years in April 2026, and honestly, we could never have imagined how beautiful life could be today. God has been so faithful to keep walking with us with his constant grace, healing, and restoring us to be more like him. At the center of our story has always been our passion for writing and sharing our own music. That’s why we’re here.
Our Heart For Music: Sharing Spirit-Filled Truths
Over the last decade or so, we have both been worship pastors and traveled with different worship ensembles for church visits, conferences, and retreats. Everywhere we go, we try to bring a genuine heart of worship and discern what the Lord is doing so we can respond to it together.
For years, we hosted worship nights locally and in our home. These were beautiful times of transformation and renewal where we saw God move in our humble community. Our greatest desire is to behold Christ and abide in his presence. We want our music to be Spirit-filled, truth-filled, and gospel-filled.

God has always been stirring the call to write original worship music and share it with others, but it hasn’t always been clear what that looks like. To be completely honest, we often struggle to find the balance between simply praising God for who he is and trying to share this with others. We aren’t completely sure how to “market” our music without trying to capitalize on worship, but we’re seeking to simply share and let God handle the rest.
We’re aiming for somewhere in the middle. We’re carrying songs of grace, freedom, redemption, and the power of the gospel, but we’re trying to do it in a way that is honest, open, and humble. These songs might find a place in a Sunday morning setlist, or they might exist on your playlists. Either way, we are aiming to give testimony to who God is and what he has done in our lives.
We’ve recognized that God has given us a voice and a song to sing, and we can see how he has paired Erin’s incredible voice with Nathan’s gift for songwriting to share something that could only be possible together.
Our music is rooted in scripture, the gospel, and our testimony of his faithfulness. Our prayer is that these songs, melodies, lyrics, and moments stir your heart with the wonder of who God is and what he has done.
We can’t wait to share more with you this year.
Why Substack? A Real Sustainable Community For Everyone
We’re sharing our music on Substack because it feels like a more natural way to build a community around the stories and songs we are sharing and because it is a more honest way to sustain our creative work.
We will still share our music on streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, but today’s music industry has made streaming a commodity where we feel like we are shouting into the void a bit. The emergence of AI music and the direction streaming is going make it clear that the environment of music listening is rapidly changing. On top of all this, music creators earn fractions of a penny per stream, and for most independent artists, making a living from music is extremely challenging.
We’ve discovered that Substack has amazing features for deeper engagement with our music, better ways to share stories, and a simple interface for keeping connected. There’s something beautiful about building a small and steady community that can directly support us.
That’s why we are sharing all of our music here first. We want every song and project to have a life within our community before we share it with the world. With this platform, we can also share demos (a new one coming soon!), videos of worship moments, and other creative moments that aren’t possible on traditional platforms.
It’s an exciting journey that you can join us on. We’re making all of our posts free for the first few months while we grow our community, but soon we will be sharing previews with everyone and full releases with our subscribing community. We’re inviting you to support us in a small way that makes a big impact for us. If you’re enjoying our music and believe in the story, we’re inviting you to become a paid subscriber to stay at the heart of our music.
